Analysis and Design of Lattice Structures for Rapid-Investment Casting

چکیده

This paper aims to design lattice structures for rapid-investment casting (RIC), and the goal of methodology is minimize defects that are related topology. RIC can take full advantage unprecedented freedom provided by AM. Since has multiple objectives, we limit our study already have good printability, i.e., self-supported open-celled, improve their castability. To find relationship between topological features performance, various topologies underwent mold flow simulation, finite element analysis, experiments, grain structure analysis. From results, established affect performance in descending order importance relative strut size, joint number, valence, angle distribution. The deemed most significant effect on tensile shear mechanical distribution, valence. practical application these findings ability optimize topology with end manufacturing complex using RIC. These be used create lightweight components optimized functionality applications such as aerospace medical.
